Hara's Gown

Hara's Gown. Hara was pregnant so technically, I knew what were the key points that we wanted to focus on. I never use a classic empire line for pregnant women, which is something that is quite common to do. I lower the empire line and raise the waist until I can see what suits her perfectly and creates the best balance. We used a silk crepe satin using the shiny side. The weight of this fabric created a feminine flow especially in the front where we had numerous pleats to take the attention away from her belly, creating balance to her silhouette. Using darts at the back to achieve a great shape and a loose fit to the whole look. Married with our ivory lace, Hara's gown was complete.
