Eri's Gown

Eri's Gown. Eri had great legs and we had to show them. She chose a palette of off-white in georgette and a flower lace, both lined with satin, which gave a natural glow to her wedding outfit. Her lace bodice is almost seamless. When I use lace, I try to not use seams and place the lace over the bride, see the proportions and then cut it on her. When I first started this technique it was a bit scary because you're literally designing and making on the spot, but I love the result. It's funny sometimes to see the bride's reaction initially, but it's worth it when she sees the process and witnesses her gown come to life. There is more fabric consumption using this technique, but the result speaks for itself, especially for a wedding dress.
