Joaquim
We were privileged to create Dimitra's christening wear for her first son, so it was double exciting to be able to design her second boy's christening wear. Dimitra knew she wanted them to be different to the first one and knew she wanted to work with natural white as a palette. She fell in love with our 100% oatmeal knit, which we had as a cardigan. We decided to make it as a vest which offered a subtle tone to the white shirt and shorts. We saw that something needed to liven up the outfit so we used wooden buttons on the blouson shirt to make it come to life. Our beautiful olive cotton fabric was used for the cap keeping the look neutral and organic. Mint was used for her invites so we used it as a detail for the sheet and the custom embroidered towels. Dimitra wanted to give Joaquim's godmother her moment, so we made an apron and custom embroidered in Brazilian, seeing that Dimitra's husband is Brazilian, 'Joaquim's godmother'.
